Had two.
Had him.
Had you.
Had comfort when hurt.
Had cleanliness when pushed into dirt.
Had two.
When fighting with him had you.
Gone now him.
Have now only you.
Have no we.
No us.
No two.
No me-no him.
Just you.
Had him.
Had you.
Had comfort when hurt.
Had cleanliness when pushed into dirt.
Had two.
When fighting with him had you.
Gone now him.
Have now only you.
Have no we.
No us.
No two.
No me-no him.
Just you.
What's the meaning behind this beautiful poem it's feels like it got a lot of weight to it with profound sadness, this poem is a blessing in its own right.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the compliment. To answer your question, the poem has two layers of meaning. The first being about cheating and then later regretting it and the second being about an internal battle between the negative inner voice (ie. depression) and the image that stares back at you in the mirror but you choose not to believe.
ReplyDeleteYou need to fix the cleanliness one since i don't understand how you can be clean and dirty at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAh I see, but non the less it's a beautiful poem. Never trust a cheater with your life they will gamble it away like it's water no matter how clean or dirty if it means they have to hurt in the worse way then they shall just watch your back and again what a lovely poem.
ReplyDeleteThe cleanliness is a metaphor for confidence
DeleteConfidence is such a strong word, before you can be confident you need to show that you're resilient and willing to push forward before you speak of confidences miss
DeleteI agree with you but confidence is often a facade and its wall can be knocked down quite easily anyway the poem reflects that in the second layer. Thank you for your constructive criticism it is much appreciated
DeleteMetaphor for you suck demmmm nuts
ReplyDeleteHow rude can you be?
DeleteYou are disgusting i think you need to be educated on respect if you have nothing nice or constructive to say then don't say anything.
DeleteNot gonna lie i understand the poem its good but don't try to relate it yourself. We all know your lies
ReplyDeleteYou claim of these so called lies sir but where are these lies you perclaiming to have found. A person has written a poem online to express their feelings you say that they are lies please have some manners sir.
DeleteThe poem is in no way shape or form related to me or my physical/mental state of being I write poetry to express real life issues and maybe assist people going through the same thing.
DeleteSo is the end of your Journey?, are you going to write more on this blog or are you done for now. Im willing to read it as many times as it takes.
ReplyDeleteThank you darling, writing is a journey within itself which never ends, as you can see I have taken quite a break from posting but now I am back with words which tell another story because where one thing ends another begins.
